Where Are You?
great-questions-facebook
I’m sure you’ve heard it said, “There’s no such thing as a dumb question” or “The only dumb question is the one you don’t ask.” Well, whether you believe that or not, there is a lot to be learned by asking questions. I heard Pastor Rick Warren ask once, “Would you rather look smart or be
smart? If you want to ‘look smart’ keep your questions to yourself and pretend to know things you don’t know. If you want to ‘be smart’ risk looking dumb in the moment, asking the question, and learning.” Did you know the Bible is full of some really great questions? Join us next Sunday as we begin a brand new series exploring some of the great questions asked in the Bible. We’re calling it “Great Questions!” (Clever, huh?) It should be fun, informative and, hopefully, transformative!

The Practice of Prayer: How Do We Do It?
(Re)Discovering a Life of Prayer   In our study of James’ letter in the NT we’ve come to chapter 5, verses 13 and following, in which James speaks of our vocation (our “calling”) as Christ-followers to be people of prayer. He says it’s the first language of those who are in trouble, those who are happy, those who are sick, and those who have sinned. That pretty well covers it, huh? We often say, “Prayer is our first work as the people of God.” But before it’s our first work; it’s a gracious gift given to us. So I’m going to invite us to stall out here for a few weeks and see what God might want to teach us about “Discovering (or Rediscovering) a Life of Prayer.” Hope you can join us!
